Abstract:
The adamellitic gneisses in the basement in northern segment of eastern Dabie Mountains were characterized by feldspars stress-suppporting framework in response with deformation. All feldspars in the rocks involved into an earlier high-grade ductile thrusting were sheared by crystal plasticity mechanism. The adamellitic gneisses were in brittle state during a late low-grade ductile shearing when various brittle fault rocks, including micro breccia, pseudotachylyte, black ultramylonite and sintered cataclasite, were formed within or on the rim of the adamellitic gneisses. Origin of the various ductile to brittle deformation rocks and their structural relationships recorded an uplift-related cooling history of the Dabie terrain and the deformation process in different stages.
