The occurrence, composition and texture of an exogenetic k-rich rock of new type was described. There exist two kinds of k-rich rock, one is mainly constituted by potash felds- par containing about 13 to 16 per cent of K2O,and the other is dominately composed by hydrous mica containing slightly less amount of K2O than the former.Minerals of these rocks show very fine grains and irregular fringes. These rocks were formed in shal- low, limited and stagnant water basin. They were found in the middle part of Early Sinian cyclothem of very great thickness. It is belived that these rocks might have some practical significance in expanding potassium materials.
