The Xinyi meteorite was found from the county of Xinyi, Jiangsu Province (longitude 118°20′E; latitude 34°22′N). Its fallen time is not known. It is bronzite-olivine chondrite in Prior-Mason’s classification, and is composed of olivine (Fo85 Fa15), orthopyroxene (En86Fs14), kamacite, troilite, chromite and what appears to be devit-rified glass. It belongs to the H group of Urey and Craig. Detailed data on the mineralogy and chemistry are given.
