摘要 

闽西南马坑式铁矿的层位和时代,以往因缺乏化石证据,意见不一。有中石炭统下部、下中石炭统或石炭二叠系种种说法。 1978年,我们在上杭县湖洋矿区的毗邻处庐丰发现了颇为完整的石炭系剖面,岩层中含有丰富的化石,保存尚佳。本文是在系统测制地层剖面及研究其中所含动植物化石的基础上,结合这几年来我系师生在长汀、永安等地区收集的资料写成的。

Abstract

A careful study on the profile exposed in Lufong area of Shanghang district has enabled the authors to draw a new detailed section to accurately show the Carboniferous stratigraphical sequence of Fujian province. It is shown by examining outcrops and cores that the main seam of Makeng type iron deposits, occurring in the Longyan and Shanghang districts of southwestern Fujian, lies disconformally on the Lindi Formation and is overlain conformally by carbonate rocks. Recent studies on the fossils collected from the overlying and underlying strata afford the evidences to determine the horizon and the age of the main seam of iron deposits.The Lindi Formation, 370 m in thickness, is composed of continental clastic rocks, and may be subdivided into three members. The floras in its middle and upper parts contain *Rhodeopteridium chinghaiense (Sze), *R. ef. sparsa (Kidston), *R. aff. roseliense (Stock, et Will.), R. luyuandengense Lue (sp. nov.), Neuropteris gigantea Sternb., N. cf. otozamioides Sze et Lee, Adiantitesl gothani (Sze), Triphyllopteris cf. collombiana Schimp., *Sphenophyllum aff. tenerrimum Ett., etc. they may be called Rhodeopteridium chinghaiense —— Neuropteris gigantea assemblage. The major elements of these floras, i.e. the species marked with an asterisk, are undoubtedly identical with or comparable to those of the Namurian Formation of Belgium, of the Lanarkian formation of England, of the combination of the Ostrava Formation and the Lower Kavian Formation of Czechoclovakia, or of the lower Kluk Group of Qinghai province. Consequently, it is assured that the age of the middle and upper members of Lindi Formation must be Namurian.Overlying on the main seam, there is a thick series of carbonated rocks composed chiefly of grey thick-beded limestones intercalated with 2-3 layers of dolomitic limestones with a total thickness of 75m. Fusulinids are abundant in the limestones. The important components are Profusulinella rhomboides (Lee et Chen), P. parva var. convoluta (Lee et Chen), P. wangyui var. ycntaiensis Sheng, p.? deprati (Beede et Kniker), Verella shanghangensis Luo et Yi (sp. nov.), Pseudostaf fella confusa (Lee et Chen). In association with them the tabulate coral Chaetetes lungtanensis Lee et Chu was found in the upper part of the limestones. The age of the faunas is obviously equivalent to the early Moscovian and the fossiliferous strata may be correlated with the Profusulinella zone of the Lower Huanglong Limestone in the Jinsigang of Nanjing.On the basis of these palaeontological evidences, it is quite reasonable to conclude that the main seam of the Makeng type iron deposits was situated on the base of Huanglong Formation and its age must be the early Moscovian of the Middle Carboniferous.
