The genesis of Hong-3 well eastern fault is closely related to the formation and evolution of the Zhongguai uplift. Analyzing its geometry and kinematics is of great value to reveal the deformation from Late Paleozoic in Zhongguai uplift and to future guild oil-gas prospecting. We do the accurate structure elucidation, structural modeling and reconstruction about Hong-3 well eastern fault by employing unconformity identify, fault-related-fold theory and balanced restoration. There are 5 regional unconformities of Cretaceous-Jurassic, Jurassic-Triassic, Triassic-upper Wuerhe Formation, the bottom of upper Wuerhe Formation and Jiamuhe Formation-Carboniferous. Our study shows that Hong-3 well eastern fault is a fault propagation fold model with the growth triangle. It can be divided into the northern, the middle and the southern sections. Influencing by the compaction of the Late Hercynian and the Yanshanian period, the fault actives in the late Early Permian（Late P1f）to Late Middle Permian（P2w）and the Late Early Jurassic（J1s）to Late Jurassic. The branch fault grows in the middle to the southern part with little throw. The early fault activity is strongest in the middle part, the southern section is the second, and the northern part is the weakest. The Middle and Lower Permian are mostly uplifted and denuded, and the stratigraphic shortening is 3.8 km. But the second activity only happened in the middle and the northern section is very weak with only 200 m stratigraphic shortening. Hong-3 well eastern fault propagates from NE to SW with the characteristics of “3 segments, 1 structural superposition” and the napping controls the structural shape of the Zhongguai uplift.
