Based on data of 16 drilling cores，observation of 11 outcrop profiles and comprehensive analysis on 128 carbon-oxygen isotope data，the characteristics of karst carbonate reservoirs in Dengying Formation and the relationship between the forming of Dengying reservoirs and 3 episodes of Tongwan Movement were discussed，and the distribution of its high-quality reservoirs was then predicted. Results show：1）Typical rimmed carbonate platform sedimentary system was developed in Sinian of Sichuan Basin，and large-scale platform margin reef shoal was formed on both sides of Mianzhu-Changning rift，which mainly consisted of micrite dolomite，algal sandy dolarenite，laminated dolomite，clotted dolomite and snowflake-shaped dolomite；2）Influenced by the 3 episodes of Tongwan Movement and frequent fluctuation of sea level，weathering-crust karst carbonate reservoirs were developed in Deng-2 Member and Deng-4 Member，which were characterized by low porosity and permeability with abundant dissolved pores and vugs as fracture-vug reservoirs；3）The two sets of reservoirs in Deng-2 Menber and Deng-4 Member were distributed stably in horizontal direction and overlapped in vertical direction；the reservoirs were widely spread，while the high-quality reservoirs were situated in the platform margin facies zone，which was concentrated in the Gaoshiti，Moxi，Hebaochang，Weiyuan，Ziyang and Penglai areas.
