The simulation research of Jurassic-Cretaceous reservoir formation of Luliang oilfield in the abdomen of Junggar Basin

In order to further clarify the displacement pressure effect on the oil and gas distribution and accumulation process with fault transportation in Luliang oilfield based on the geology condition and accumulation and distribution characteristics of Luliang oilfield, experiment model was designed, and using physical simulation method to simulate the oil migration and accumulation process in fault conducting system. The experiment process and results showed that displacement pressure control the accumulation performance reservoir which are lateral configuration with fault in Luliang oilfield. The reservoirs, docking with fault and having low displacement pressure, have priority to accumulate and higher oil saturation. The reservoirs, docking with fault and having much higher displacement pressure, accumulate lately and have lower oil saturation. The reservoirs which are not docking with fault cant form oil and gas pool, no matter how high or low the displacement pressure is. The experiment process makes the accumulation process and distribution characteristics of Jurassic-Cretaceous reservoir to reappear in Luliang oilfield.
