The Dongguashan copper ore deposit is the dominant deposit of Shizishan ore field in Tongling area. Little research for porphyry mineralization has been done in the deposit. In this paper, we have carried out some research in the depth of deposit including porphyry mineralization features and its relation with layered skarn type mineralization. It is obvious that some kinds of alteration and alteration zoning characteristics have been discovered, mineralization can be divided into two metallogenic stages including potassium stage and quartz sulfide stage, there is a transitional space between porphyry alteration zonation and skarnization. The U-Pb age for porphyry mineralization-related quartz diorite is 140 Ma, and together with quartz(pyroxene)monzodiorite forming in the same period due to the evolution of diorite magma. Ore-forming fluid evolution from porphyry mineralization is from high temperature to the medium temperature, which is similar to the evolution tendency of upper layered skarn mineralization. It is illustrated that both of the ore-forming fluid should be a whole hydrothermal system with porphyry mineralization due to internal fluid evolution and occurring skarnization mineralization in the contact zone.
