At northern Muli county, Sichuan Province, a melange belt tens kilometer wide is discovered. Compositionally, the melange can be divided into five type. According to the stratigraphic time of the exotic blocks in melange, it is estimated that the melange belt was formed at the end of Permian. Based on the distribution of the melange and regional geology, it can be deducted that there was a collision event between Yangzi platform and the subduction complex of Litang Are during Indosinian movement.
