The Foziling Group consists mainly of green schist facies metamophic rocks which occur in the northern foot of the Dabie Mountain. The upper part of it is a suit of metamorphic flysch formation, and the lower part, metamorphic volcanic-sedimentary rocks. Petrochemical composition of the volcanic rocks and characteristics of the sedimentary structure show that they formed in the down fault-subsidence basin which was opened at the early period of Late Proterozoic era, and closed at the end of Late Proterozoic cra. It should be pointed out that the Tan-Lu Fault Zone may play an important role similar to transform fault in the process of opening and closing between the North China Fault Block and the Dabie Accreting Block.
