The relationship between high-temperature creep of olivine and oxygen partial pressure has been studied at temperature of 1250-1500℃ and stress range of 21.5-150MPa in controlled buffered enstatites.The experimental result suggests that oxygen partial pressure directly controls variation of creep late of olivine.Dislocation climb of olivine is closely related to diffusion of vacancy-point defects of olivine. Three crystallographic directions of 696and 6 have different rheological strength and exponent of oxygen partial pressure.
